Super Smash Bros. Brawl Has Problems

Brawl Doesn't Work With Some Wii [Super Smash Bros. Brawl]

Now SSBB just came out here in the US (did you get your copy yet?)sbb.jpg and, already, as reported on Kotaku - Looks like Super Smash Bros Brawl is having some problems working on a few Wii's out there. We've only received a handful of complaints about this, but it's a big enough problem that Nintendo already has a site set up to deal with the problem in North America.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl utilizes a double-layer disc which has a large memory capacity. A very small percentage of Wii consoles may have trouble consistently reading data off this large capacity disc if there is some contamination on the lens of the disc drive. Nintendo has specialized cleaning equipment that can resolve this problem. (Please do NOT attempt to clean the lens yourself, as you may damage the system.)

Dungeons & Dragons Creator Gary Gygax Dies

Garygygax_2March 05, 2008 | 11:36:54 AM -- Gary Gygax, co-creator of the incredibly influential Dungeons & Dragons role-playing games, died yesterday at his home in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin at age 69.

Almost everyone who's ever played an RPG, be it with dice, a mouse, or a controller, owes a debt of gratitude to Gygax, who helped create many of the conventions we now take for granted, such as leveling up, stat-boosting gear, and, of course, the Dungeon Master.

Updated January Sales Stats for USA and Japan

PPNSteve's picture

After a spectacular November and December in the USA, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare sees a respectable January, securing the number one position on the software charts. 2007's number two seller, Wii Play, keeps its second place spot, beating out both Rock Band and Guitar Hero III with 298K copies sold.NPD

Despite being a relatively down month for the Wii and Xbox 360 on the hardware side, the two consoles hold the top seven on the software side. Again, no PlayStation 2 info, but we're not sure if that's based on sales or just missing data. The top ten is after this.

Happy Valentines Day

We want to take a moment and wish everyone a loving and fun Valentines Day from all of us here at PPN Studio..

Valentine's Day is a holiday celebrated on February 14. In North America, it is the traditional day on which lovers express their love for each other by sending Valentine's cards, presenting flowers, or offering confectionery.

The holiday is named after two among the numerous Early Christian martyrs named Valentine. The day became associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished.
